Congradulations DAD!!!!

My sweet dad recieved a dream come true this week...ever since he started his law career over 25 years ago he has dreamed of being a judge...my grandfather (my mom's dad) was a judge...and was an amazing man...my grandfather encouraged and inspired my dad alot in his career and encouraged him that one day he would be a great judge...my grandfather would be so proud of my dad if he were still living...So my father will end his career as a criminal defense attorney and move to the next step in his career and in life...Dad, you have been so faithful as a lawyer...you have been first and foremost faithful to God in the way you have served your clients...sharing Jesus with them and letting them know that any victory that came in any case was because of the grace of God in their life...you have been faithful to your family to love us more than your job...as a little girl you loved us and would leave your job to get us lunch if we happen to forget it at the house and then to bring it to us at school...I am not sure that I know to many men that would leave the courthouse just to get there elementry daughter a lunch... thank you dad for loving Jane and I so much, for fritos and icee's after school, for staying up late to do science fair projects and for loving our mom most...you have also been faithful to your clients to give them the best chance at freedom and care about there lives...Know that I love you more than words can express...I am so proud of you and proud to be your daughter...Love you my Judge DAD

My two favorite boys...

I love these three pictures because when I look at them I am so in love...in love with my sweet husband, my best friend on this planet and so in love with our little boy who God graciously gave us 7 months ago...Thank you sweet Jesus for my sweet family...

And the journey continues...

Several years ago a project was birthed called the Houston project...this project was the idea of 2 great men who designed a way for college student and highschool students to come to Houston, TX and minster for a week in the city... Well, 8 Years ago in the summer of 1999 I met the most wonderful man in the entire world...I was 18 at the time and he was 20...he was full of ambitions and dreams and I was blown away by his passion for God and his passion for life...We were interns at a church together and worked everyday together 10 hours a day...our job for that summer was to love on people in the city and share Jesus...that was the start of 3 summers of interning together and falling in love...One thing I remember about the project was that all the staff kids got shirts and I remember saying to myself how fun it will be one day when our little boo and he/she gets to have a shirt...and so this was the summer...8 years later and we have a sweet little boy that got his first Houston Project t-shirt...it made me smile with joy yesterday and sweet memories of life coming full circle...God is so sweet....

Big Boy Jaykers

We had a big new day in the life of little Jaykers...We went to a favorite eatery of ours and the little guy sat in his own highchair...this is the first time he has ever sat for 45 minutes at a place and just laughed and we have gotten to eat...it began a new phase in the life of the Altic's...we are excited...he is so fun and we are so blessed
